I am proficient in HTML, CSS, and responsive design. I am comfortable with Bootstrap. I have built simple, static sites and other small projects.
In school, we had several assessments using MySQL. I understand the differences between databases and I know how to manipulate data. I've also used MongoDB, a NoSQL database.
I am comfortable using JavaScript, jQuery, and React. I can also use Node.js and Express.js to run a server. I'm experienced manipulating in the DOM and creating modularity.
Junior front-end web developer
I am a recent graduate of the Advanced Diploma of Information Technology program from Southern Cross Education Institute in Melbourne. This course taught me several IT concepts and a bit of code. The rest of my coding journey has been independent. I have spent several hours working through FreeCodeCamp and LinkedIn Learning courses. I am looking for my first junior developer role.
I am from Philadelphia, and I have been living in Australia for 3 years. I chose to move down under for an adventure and I ended up finding a life path in IT. My professional experience has been in hospitality which has given me a strong sense of communication and teamwork. When I'm not coding, I'm out taking photos or doing yoga (or doomscrolling the news).
